Grimms Holdings is an engineering service provider that specialises in five main industries: Automotive, Marine, Pumps, Power Generation, and Spare Parts.
Grimms approached Ignite Media in 2017 for support with the design of their corporate Identity.
Although Grimms had been in business for almost 3 decades at that time, they were still using their “homemade” corporate identity that they had created on Microsoft Word. As the business grew, the logo evolved to incorporate the names of the different divisions as well as the legal entity name for the purpose of ensuring that their customers understood that it was the same legal entity, which held different divisions.
Grimms needed direction and Ignite Media’s help to design and develop their corporate identity, which would reflect that they were a well established and professional business.
We immediately understood our client’s dilemma and took the client through a consultation process before we could start the corporate identity design process.
Since each division, product and service served and addressed needs within different markets, it would be essential to separate the brands and divisions in order to distinguish the differences. With our help and guidance, we guided our client to differentiate the brands and how they would be positioned in the marketplace. We would ensure that the different divisions had a “family resemblance” to show the relationship with the holding company and the relationship between the divisions.
This project became larger than just a logo refresh. Ignite Media designed all client stationery (business cards, letterheads, powerpoint presentations, email signatures) for each division; designed and developed all marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers to company profiles. These products would include our copywriting services for all the content for the brochures, company profiles to website copy to present the unique position of the brands within the market place. Ignite Media also developed websites so that each division would have a presence.
The outcome was a clearly defined brand identity with divisions which could now be marketed independently to attract it’s relevant target audience.
